Start with what your current layout is missing. The right approach depends on the house, the rooms you need and how the new accommodation will connect to the rest of your home.</p></section><section class="detail-section"><h2>From the structure to the finishing touches</h2><p>For an extension, the scope may include groundworks, foundations, the main structure, roof construction and the connection to the existing house. For a conversion, the conversation starts with the existing structure, access and the proposed layout. We agree the extent of the work before pricing it.</p><p>Think about the finishes early: flooring levels, the position of doors, kitchen arrangements and the relationship with the garden all affect the finished space.
